A fountain does two things: it looks good and it sounds good. Most people underestimate the sound part. Running water covers traffic noise, pool pumps, and neighbors — all day, every day, without a speaker.
We build custom stone fountains from natural stone. Not prefab resin pieces from a catalog. Every fountain is engineered on-site with stone you picked yourself, plumbed with commercial-grade pumps, and set to look like it’s always been there.
Types of fountains we build
Courtyard and entry fountains — Smaller pieces for front entries, courtyards, and garden areas. Usually the first thing a visitor sees. We build them with recirculating pumps that are quiet and don’t need much attention.
Estate water features — Larger fountains with multiple tiers, wall-mounted spillways, stone basins, and lighting. We documented two of our estate builds in the Sound of Serenity project. See the Custom Fountains project.
Noise-curtain fountains — Built specifically to generate enough water volume to mask unwanted sound. We built one for a homeowner near a busy road — 15,000 GPH pump, enough flow to drown out highway traffic from the patio. The homeowner stopped hearing the road.
Pondless fountains — The water recirculates through a hidden underground basin. No visible pond, no standing water. Low maintenance and safe for yards with small kids or pets.
How they’re built
John looks at the space and asks what you’re after — visual impact, sound, or both. You pick the stone. The crew handles plumbing, pump installation, basin construction, and stone-setting.
We use pumps rated for continuous operation and filtration that runs for years with minimal work. Most of our fountains need a pump check once a season.
Where we build them
Buckhead, Sandy Springs, Alpharetta, Roswell, Milton, Johns Creek, Peachtree Corners. Same process whether it’s a small courtyard piece or a 10-foot tiered fountain — natural stone, hand-built.
